...A gentleman never jokes about wagers. I’ll bet you twenty thousand pounds that I can travel around the world in 80 days, with my passport stamped as proof...
When Phileas Fogg, and his faithful servant Passepartout, board the train in London in 1875 he has only 80 days to travel round the world to win the wager between him and his friends at the great Reform Club. A grand adventure lies ahead, using conventional and, more often, unconventional travel arrangements; his journey will include romance, danger and surprises with the redoubtable Scotland Yard pursuing him at every turn.
Expect music, dance and melodrama aplenty as Lung Ha’s Theatre Company present Around the World in 80 Days adapted for the Company by leading Scottish playwright Douglas Maxwell – and featuring the full performing company of 23 together with live and original music by Pete Vilk.

Other Activities:
Activity Survey
At Christmas we distributed a detailed'‘Activity Survey' among families who have joined V.I. Scotland. Thank you all very much for taking the time to complete the questionnaire. This data is till coming in to us and is helping us to establish current levels of physical and social activity, to understand what challenges these young people and their parents face as they try to become more active. The information also gives us a good idea of the range of activities the young people in VIS would like to participate in. If you have not yet returned the completed questionnaire to us, we would be grateful if you would do so. Thanks again!
Outdoor Learning Project
In January 2011 we joined forces with Grounds for Learning and a number of schools attended by pupils with visual impairments in order to look at ways in which these pupils can be included in outdoor learning activities
VIP Reading Groups
We have teamed up with Library Development Officers in Edinburgh and Glasgow in order to plan the development of reading groups and creative workshops for young people in these areas with visual impairment. Watch this space!
