NEW

RNIB Scotland Free Family Day Saturday 30th September 2006
Employment and Learning Centre Jewel & Esk Valley College Edinburgh

The aim of this family day is to provide information to parents and allow visually impaired children and young people to take part in organised activities. There will be crèche facilities. Young people from 0 - 18 years of age are welcome. Parents can also take part in any of the activities.


Computer Crazy
Children and young people will have the opportunity to try different computer games that are compatible with screen reading and magnification software.
Mobility Madness
A treasure hunt around the centre using clues and mobility skills.
Cooking with Mairi
Mairi will work with children and young people using suitable equipment to create delicious dishes.
Advice and Information

This is an opportunity to find out about services, benefits and welfare rights. It also provides an opportunity for parents to ask questions, have individual consultations and talk to each other.

The programme runs from 10.30 am until 3.00 pm and everyone will have the opportunity to take part in all of the activities. Lunch will be provided.
